2006 - 2007 Season Schedule
Summer Series
Celebrate Midsummer with The Metropolitan Ballet and witness the Works of Two Great Women in Dance as we present the crown jewels of our season.

Rodeo
Premier: 1942 NYC
Agnes De Mille

The famed “cowboy ballet,” set to the music of Aaron Copland, was created for the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo and was the first ballet to include tap-dancing. Rodeo, a high spirited love story of a tomboy set in the American Southwest, uses distinctively American gestures including bronco-riding and steer-roping. De Mille became famous for her Broadway smash (and 1955 film) "Oklahoma!."

This event has been made possible in part by The Agnes De Mille Foundation.

Do not miss a rare opportunity to see this American original ~ Rodeo ~ on a Minnesota stage!
